Children, traumatised by war have been given virtual reality headsets, to transport them from scenes of destruction to green gardens, tranquil beaches, and cities brimming with games, with the aim of helping to alleviate the psychological trauma they endure daily. One of the medical technology team members said the idea stemmed from the need to "change the harsh reality that children live in, even if only for a few hours, by giving them a chance to feel safe and joyful." These sessions rely on programs specifically designed for traumatised children, taking into account their physical and psychological condition and helping them rebuild positive perceptions of the world.
